NEW CLASSES WE ARE CONSIDERING

We are currently looking at introducing several new classes and additional opportunities during the coming term.

These classes are not yet confirmed, as we first need to establish whether there is sufficient interest to run them.

If you, your child or someone you know may be interested in any of the following, please let us know.

Parent and Me and a Cup of Tea

Ages 12–24 Months

A fun and interactive class where parents and babies can enjoy music, movement, props and ballet-inspired activities together.

A lovely introduction to dance that encourages bonding, confidence, coordination and early development and afterwards chat with a complimentary tea or coffee.

Additional Weekday Baby Ballet - Tuesday 3.30pm - 4.00pm

Ages 2–4 Years

Our Saturday Baby Ballet classes continue to be popular, so we are considering adding an additional weekday afternoon session.

This would provide another opportunity for our youngest dancers to enjoy ballet, music, imaginative movement and creative activities.

Teens Beginners Ballet

Ages 11–16 Years

After School Tuesday 4.30pm - 5.15pm

A dedicated ballet class for older children who would like to start ballet from the beginning.

The class would allow students to learn alongside others of a similar age and experience level, building confidence and technique at a comfortable pace without feeling that they are behind their peers.

Lunchtime Adult Beginners Ballet Wednesday 12.30pm - 1.30pm

Adults 30+

A welcoming traditional ballet class designed specifically for adults.

Perfect for those returning to dance or trying ballet for the first time, with a focus on improving posture, flexibility, strength, coordination and overall wellbeing in a friendly and supportive environment.

This would be a traditional ballet class, separate from the Adult PBT Ballet Exercise class already included in the timetable.

We would love to hear from anyone who may be interested in these new classes.

If you are interested yourself, know someone who may be interested, or could share the information through a local community group, parent WhatsApp group or social media, we would be extremely grateful.

Your feedback will help us establish demand and decide which classes we can introduce.

We are excited about expanding the Academy and creating even more opportunities for our dancers, from our youngest pupils through to adults.

20 Years. Three Academies. One Dance Family
0UR STORY
West London Dance Academy has been established in Chiswick since 2006, celebrating 20 years of inspiring dancers in 2026.

Conveniently located in Chiswick, our welcoming dance school is easily accessible by car, bus and Underground, with Chiswick Park and Gunnersbury stations nearby, a bus stop close to the studio and easy access from the A4. We are also just a short walk from Chiswick High Road and local amenities.

We offer Ballet, Tap, Contemporary Modern Jazz and PBT, with classes and private lessons for children and adults of all ages and abilities. We also offer professional teacher training and Ballerina Parties.

As an IDTA Accredited Dance School, we are proud of our 100% pass rate in IDTA examinations, with experienced, highly qualified teachers who are passionate about developing every dancer.

Our unique three - academy pathway offers a complete journey through dance - from those very first steps, to professional training and a professional teaching career

🌸 STARTING — Little Ballet Academy
Dance begins with fun! Children can start from as young as 6 months, developing coordination, musicality, confidence and a love of movement through age-appropriate classes.
As they grow, so does their training. From as young as 4 years old, children can take part in fun, age-appropriate IDTA examinations, giving them a wonderful sense of achievement and progression. They can also perform in our shows and events, building confidence and creating memories along the way.
Most importantly, Little Ballet Academy is the beginning of their journey, not the end. Children can progress naturally into West London Dance Academy and continue their dance training as they grow.

🩰 DANCING — West London Dance Academy
At West London Dance Academy, dancers can develop from beginner through to advanced levels in Ballet, Tap, Contemporary Modern Jazz and PBT.
From IDTA Grade 1 onwards, our graded qualifications can contribute UCAS Tariff points, supporting students who wish to continue into further education.
For those who aspire to professional training, we develop strong technique, performance skills and confidence to help dancers prepare for auditions for professional dance schools and specialist training programmes.
Our dancers have successfully progressed to leading institutions including ArtsEd, Tring Park School for the Performing Arts, Royal Ballet School/White Lodge, London Studio Centre and English National Ballet, as well as progressing into our own teacher-training pathway.

🎓 TEACHING — Train to Teach Dance
For dancers who discover that they want to share their passion with others, the journey can continue into Train to Teach Dance.
Our students can progress from dancer to qualified teacher, including the IDTA Level 3 Diploma in Dance Teaching Assistant and further professional teacher training.

**From first steps to first examination.
From examinations to performance and professional training.
From dancer to teacher.**

About Miss Natalie Parnell

Miss Natalie Parnell is the Principal & Director of West London Dance Academy. She is a Fellow of both the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA) and the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD), also holding the Diploma in Dance Education (DDE).
She gained her teaching qualifications in Ballet, Tap, and Contemporary Modern Jazz after graduating from dance college at just 19 years old. Following her training, she enjoyed a successful professional performance career, working with choreographers and companies including Wayne Sleep and the late Roy Castle, while teaching at Pineapple Studios in London.
At 22, Miss Natalie opened her own dance school in Kent, training students across England and Europe to teacher status, with a 95% distinction rate in Ballet, Tap, and Modern Jazz examinations. After selling her school, she  achieved her Fellowships qualifications in  Ballet , Modern Jazz, Tap and Disco Freestyle  in IDTA and ISTD with Distinctions and qualified as an Adjudicator for the British Dance Council, adjudicating alongside the late Len Goodman.
In 2010, she taught with a Hungarian Ballet Company, training performers and teachers in IDTA Ballet Associate, before joining West London Dance Academy in 2011. She became Principal in 2016 and opened her own fully equipped dance studio in 2020, creating a professional environment for high-quality training.
Miss Natalie has also choreographed and trained dancers for major productions, rehearsals, and charity events, collaborating with artists, pop bands, and television productions including S Club 7, ITV’s Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Take Away, Loose Women, and BBC Strictly Come Dancing.

After teaching all ages , for over 30 years, she developed Teacher Training Courses that are individually tailored to each dancer — whether via scholarship, intensive training, private tuition, in-person, or online. Our Train To Teach Dance courses are designed for all ages, from young dancers to adults, because every dancer’s journey is different.
